Not exactly. They are trying to get people to pay for their IP they claim slipped into Linux (and was overseen by both Caldera and SCO for years). A little like SuSE making people pay for their installer (YaST). Big difference is that we know where YaST came from but have no clue about the IP SCO wants to license.
