Hi Tom.I experimented in June with some available light at an indoor reining show,no flash.I wanted to shoot at 800 and 1600,but mostly 800.I did some adjustments in Elements (i like the one touch colour adjuster)and printed out a 5x7. At that size it looked nice.I have some scaled to web examples on http://home.ca.inter.net/brooksdj click on the reining link.I dont know if you can see what you want from these pictures though.

The D30 has too much noise above 400, supposedly the D60 is improved in this respect.
