Hi Cesar. I have the D1,i find the grip comfortable and the camera well balance with the 80-200f2.8 mounted. The view finder on the D1 also tells me what mode i'm in so i do not have to look up at the top,only when i'm in a break mode(sorry Tom no pun here). My main complaint would be weight,at the horse shows its slung around my neck from 7:30-8:00am till about 6:00pm,giving me a stiff neck.
