Don't think I agree with Larry here - I don't rate myself as any more than an adequate photographer, yet I do get some decent images out of Pentax gear (even the vintage ones) without having to work too hard at it. All UI's are the brainchild of people who have spent too long at it and trying to make it do everything, so it does nothing really well. We, the users, just have to work out what is useful to us and ignore the rest.

The good thing about Pentax is that a technically proficient photographer can get extremely good image quality out of the system. The bad thing about Pentax is that it takes a technically proficient photographer to get decent image quality. The worse thing about Pentax is that the UI designers are dedicated to making grossly overpriced point and shoot cameras and do everything they can to get in the way of the technically proficient photographer. -- Larry Colen [email protected] -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
