I believe the K10D is feeling fine today, thank you. ]'-)

It's been so long since I worked with 35mm SLRs my memory of their
size and shape is dimming ... but my standard camera for 20 odd years
was either a Nikon FE2 or FM2n fitted with an MD12, or an F3 fitted
with MD-4 drive. Next to that, I carried the Leica M4-P or M6TTL, the
latter often with an Abrahamson Winder fitted. Compared with them,
the K10D is a little thicker and a bit shorter, otherwise the same to
me (I didn't use the battery grip, sold it).

I never much liked the larger, heavier 35mm SLRs like the Nikon F4/F5/
F5, etc. Too much. At least with the F3 I could take the drive off
and have something reasonably compact when I wanted to.

I'm more sensitive to a camera's balance and fit in my hands than its
absolute weight, and the K10D fits my hands (medium-large) very well.
(The Panasonic L1 body is lighter by a little bit and feels more like
the Leica Ms did, but again thicker.)

Hands accommodate the change easily given a little time ...
