1. The two biggest benefits as far as I'm concerned are the much faster write 
speed and larger buffer, along with the higher resolution, which allows tighter 
cropping. The shake reduction is a close third. It really will give you a 
couple stops shooting in low light. 

2. I wouldn't want to be without the grip. I love being able to store a card 
and the IR remote in there, and I shoot a lot of vertical using the grip 
controls. The size doesn't bother me in the least. But before going digital, I 
was shooting almost exclusively with the 6x7.

3. The low-buck battery at B&H seems to be identical in performance to the 
pricey Pentax battery.

4. I'm not familiar with that lens. Never used it. I do like the DA 16-45/4 and 
the DA 50-200 quite a lot. The latter is probably my most used lens, and I have 
a box full of primes.
