What solution have you tried? Do you refer to N900 or something else
(MeeGo y.x)?

This is EXACTLY how it is done in MeeGo/Maemo with the only difference -
licensing part.

Now we have the plugins to QMF which talk to daemon over D-BUS. 
In N900 times we had the plugin to modest and libcamel provider to talk
with the daemon.
