you sound like you have not been working here at Maemo for the last past 5 years or so (sorry if i don't remember the exact number)

In other words, it should be possible to remove all non-free packages
from MeeGo without losing anything essential, and we should consider
actually doing this.

If the non-free packages are essential and can not be removed, MeeGo
would be a farce, in my opinion.

Since you have the geographical advantage against many others on the ml with your same arguments, please drop by in our wing and maybe afterward you'll be able to help by explaining to all the others on the ml what are the real problems.


Unless your definition of not optimal but useful encompasses 1frame per minute drawing speed.
