I'd like to say that my thoughts is not on the platform (defined as MeeGo core, the portable, hardware agnostic part) but on hardware adaptation. The things that needs to bit-bang to make your battery charge, your GLES2 accelerator working. Platform should be fully open source and not depend on closed source. You get to market faster with a open platform, agreed - but on a hardware adaptation level, the game is different at the moment and not as practical and easy.
