Hi Jens,

Yes, I use the built-in analogue audio (by means of Emilio's patches from
August 2014) for things like music and video playback and VoIP, and it
works great. I haven't tried a USB sound card.

My setup is still as described at the end of the report I sent back then:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg07133.html

except for a newer 3.16 kernel, namely version 3.16.7-ckt2-1 of the
linux-image-3.16.0-4-armmp package in Debian Jessie. I haven't tried a
3.19 kernel but at least this gives you a working setup you can start
from.

What output do you get from "aplay -l"? What happens when you play a WAV
file with aplay? Does dmesg show any errors?

I'm very happy to see Emilio has submitted some new DMA code to the
arm-kernel list; I look forward to seeing the sunxi-codec support reach
mainline too.

Best wishes,
B.R.
