--- Comment #110 from toon.peperm...@hotmail.com --- I obviously should have tested this earlier, but I removed the symlinks to the folders with many subfolders from my desktop and now it SEEMS to work, but with this bug that may be the most dangerous thing to say. When I put the symlinks back, the bug came back after some 7 tries or so. I still can't reproduce the bug on my 'test' user though, also when I changed the ownership of the symlinked folders to 'test'. But I guess the directorythumbnailer is just one of the factors that can push plasmashell 'over the edge', as the bug doesn't happen consistently.
