--- Comment #274 from Michael Butash <mich...@butash.net> --- It's my one a year check in on this thread to see if KDE isn't entirely inept at dealing with monitor and windows placement, and seem that yes, it still is. Just did a fresh pacman -Syy on arch to get 5.11.5.1, 4.14 kernel, and nvidia 387 drivers, and it's still broken in all the same ways it has been for the past 3 years or so I've been harping on this bug with everyone else and since 4.x days. It would be really, REALLY nice to see this fixed somewhere in my lifetime. Back to Cinnamon, this time KDE destabilized with a few days of powering my displays on/off, jumbling my desktop all over, screwing up resolutions, monitor ordering, and causing compositing to freak out after corrections - once that occurs and starts, it just continues to downward spiral until desktop refresh can't even keep up with compositing. Basically all the same effects I've personally experienced that have occurred since 4.x and then some. The only way to keep kde stable is to never power off my displays, then I've had kde stay working for months... I tried opening a new ticket, but it was just ignored. As old as this is, seems the only thing anyone pays attention to. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
