I don't intend to push this until the bullet points in the description are
addressed, one of which is "Testing with OpenJDK early access releases", maybe
that needs to be renamed... This discussion has added 3-4 of them so far, which
was my hope.
The ant precommit error was just the PR triggering automatic testing.
This discussion is one of the points of this JIRA; getting all the nooks and
crannies addressed. I want to approach this in an orderly manner, not have a CF
a week before someone wants to cut 9.0 ;)
While I'm happy to try to incorporate suggestions/requirements myself, if
anyone wants to collaborate on my fork just send me your github ID and I'll be
glad to grant you access. Or if people would prefer I can make a branch on the
Apache repo. I don't want to hog all the fun...
