Dawid Weiss commented on LUCENE-9433: ------------------------------------- bq. "CustomizedAsciidoctorAntTask.java" mostly by chance for instance, and I hope it's not necessary. No, it isn't required by gradle build. We only use CheckLinksAndAnchors. bq. For this checkpoint I didn't touch anything in gradle/ant-compat. Don't touch it - leave it to me. Once ant is gone, I'll handle ant-compat. These are compatibility hacks to make gradle run in parallel with ant. bq. Should we leave it this way or change to "the gradle way"? Removal of ant should be a separate issue from anything that's in ant-compat (or that follows), otherwise it'll be too many things at once. bq. The Ref Guide build task is gradlew buildSite. Maybe we could attach it to 'documentation' task... I recall my concern was that it took a while to compile but if somebody wants to run 'documentation' on a top-level for every project then this would be an acceptable tradeoff... This also can be done later. > Remove Ant support from trunk > ----------------------------- > > Key: LUCENE-9433 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-9433 > Project: Lucene - Core > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Erick Erickson > Assignee: Erick Erickson > Priority: Major > Time Spent: 10m > Remaining Estimate: 0h > > Items that may need to be addressed: > * Testing with OpenJDK early access releases > * Mavenizing > * Test speed (?) > * check build for ref guide > * Update Confluence > * Update Jenkins to not try to run ant anything -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: issues-unsubscr...@lucene.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: issues-h...@lucene.apache.org
