Why do you want to hold up a release for such a new feature that is clearly not
ready?
This should not be so hard, just revert and file a new PR, adding some of us
annoying bikeshedders as reviewers :) Then it's business as usual from there
on. Except you may have to bribe Alan to hold up the release of course, which
is still better than forcing him due to the blocker. Consider my veto lifted
the moment the revert is done.
