@dmitrykoval The behavior of `spherical` mode is very inconsistent among different engines. It is not an easy job to come up with a edge interpolation standard that makes everybody happy. In order to get geo into Iceberg V3 on time, we decide to postpone it into the phase 2 of this proposal. I will soon update the PR to reiterate the OGC spec: > all geometric attributes are described piecewise by straight line or planar interpolation between sets of points.
