Hello,

again I would like to mention the PyQt version issue, see my
mail from 26 Apr 2007 under the subject "Compile Permissions".

In Suse Linux 10.0 PyQt is included in the package kdebindings3-python
and as far as I know Suse Linux 10.0 provides only PyQt version 3.13
but the newer HPLIP versions require PyQt version 3.14 (since Suse
Linux 10.1 we provide PyQt version 3.14 in the package python-qt).

I don't know if somewhere PyQt version 3.14 is also available
for Suse Linux 10.0 but if you upgrade PyQt, other stuff may break.
E.g. KDE (at least some parts of it) may depend on PyQt.

Therefore it seems much more safe for the whole Linux system
to try to do it somehow with the "out-of-the-box" stone-age HPLIP
for this stone-age SUSE Linux version ;-)

Kind Regards
