HyperKitty looks much nicer than PonyMail and is well-maintained.

Not sure if we should fork a new thread to discuss about choosing
mailing list archive.

Yes, discussions around mail archiving at the ASF belong over on members@ or with the Infra team, and are wholly separate from what the IPMC and PonyMail PPMC are doing.

Currently, on our website [1] we advocate three options:

1. [Apache mail archives](https://lists.apache.org/)

These are the ASF's own hosted archives, including views of all of our archived mailing lists since the ASF's foundation. A key part of the ASF's ethos is that when it comes to our own history, we archive everything ourselves, under our own control.

2. [MARC](http://marc.info/)
3. [mail-archive.com](http://mail-archive.com/)

This www-site page definitely needs a PR to add a comment about the other sites not being comprehensive or controlled by the ASF.

But MARC doesn't contain a full list of our lists, and mail-archive's
UI is quite confusing.

TBH I'm fine with lists.a.o.
