A note from co-chair. This discussion doesn’t have a clear way forward and is sucking a valuable time and energy from the people involved.
I would suggest everyone to stop beating the subject now. The UTF-8 in TXT clearly doesn’t have strong support of this group. I would suggest to put more energy into drafts we have adopted, are in the LC or we are adopting. You know that we are (as group) notorious to get nerd sniped then become exhausted and ignore the stuff that’s on the WG business.
