I understand the misunderstanding now. We were talking about manifest handling, and I was thinking about something like what can be seen in ConcurrentJarCreator, while you were probably thinking of something like manifest creation. There's still the issue that CJC would need a fair bit of pimping to become an appropriate "commons" api.
