UPDATE: Steam now working in Debian 12 (Bookworm) I have tested both Debian 12 (Bookworm) XFCE and KDE. As Steam started, it updated and it is now working once again on both these computers.
If you use Steam and have experienced this issue, please confirm if Steam is now working for you too. When the user of the third computer is available, I will be able to validate that Steam is working on that computer too. Thanks for those who commented, and to Valve for their quick response. With so many different Distributions, and versions within those distributions, different video cards, etc. I often wonder how Linux programs manage to work so well (most of the time).
