Update: Launching 'LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 steam -no-cef-sandbox' from the command did not work for me, Steam tried to launch a bit further but still broke.
I will sit back and wait for Valve to fix this Steam issue (which I hope they do soon) I have not posted on the below thread as the issue has already been raised: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/11807#issuecomment-2714995696 Thank you for others reporting that you also see the issue. I will see if I can try with a different video card other than AMD. Previously I had tried the below backports on a test computer but they did not help and I do NOT recommend them: # apt install -t bookworm-backports firmware-amd-graphics and later on I tired: # apt install -t bookworm-backports libudev1 libudev-dev On Wednesday, 12-03-2025 at 06:22 Timothy M Butterworth wrote: > On Tue, Mar 11, 2025 at 12:12 PM George at Clug <c...@goproject.info> wrote: > > > > > > > On Tuesday, 11-03-2025 at 23:34 Greg Wooledge wrote: > > > On Tue, Mar 11, 2025 at 12:03:48 +0000, Miriami wrote: > > > > I plan to deploy Steam on my Debian but I haven't begun to.
