Thanks for pointing that out - I can see how that might seem
contradictory.

You put "drive-by" and "NMU" together - I don't consider those the same.
Yes, I am in favor of NMUs and LowThreshold NMUs.

NMUs require coordination ahead of non-maintainer uploads.

LowThreshold NMUs recommend coordination ahead of non-maintainer uploads
and are limited to non-important changes.

What I object to is uncoordinated uploads.

Hope that makes sense.
