"Subscribe to email notifications about new Merge Requests in your project" only makes sense if you maintain 1 (or 5) packages, not if you're part of a team with thousands of packages.
(I apparently managed to set my notification preferences right globally, as I get emails about MRs. Twice a year or so.)
