Oh, sorry, I have misread your message in hurry. Then let's consider it done and tag it appropriately. However, the problem still worms me. It should not happen, even with the Lenny version. If you can spend some spare time, please check what's going on in apt-cacher.err as mentioned before. If not, just forget the issue and have a nice weekend ;-).
