I finally tried it and this is the message that aptitude update gives me with a
acng recent installed and without any customization from lenny running as proxy:
Err http://archive.debian.org etch main Packages
403 Forbidden file type or location
Tried aptitude, could not reproduce but...
Remember, this is with lenny acng version (not backported). With
backport version it works, like you said
So, I think we could tag this bug like "wontfix" and close
... this kind of problem sounds fixable with a few effort.
Please set Debug to 5 in acng.conf and check
/var/log/apt-cacher-ng/apt-cacher.err , it should tell you which file
could not be accessed.
