Probably, what we wanted from you was a clear "no, we are not able to ship a file installing itself in /usr/share/applications as upstream, so it must be added by debian"... or possibly a "no, we are not able to install it but at least we are happy to ship it", or even a "sure we can install that, let me tweak something", don't know. > > > > | - the only thing I don't like in this setup is that menu item uses (jpg) > > | R icon, not R Commander's one... that I was unable to find (though it > > | appears in the interface, so I imagine is dinamicly generated). > > | Eventually, it could be "staticized" and added too > > | as /usr/share/pixmaps/rcmdr.svg; then the line of the .desktop file > > | could be changed from > > | Icon=/usr/share/R/doc/html/logo.jpg > > | to > > | Icon=rcmdr.svg > > | . > > > > Maybe John can help us here? > > The logo is in the file Rcmdr.xbm in the package's etc directory. I would personally add the image in another format (and in red), eventually upstream... but I let you both judge if it's not overkill.
