But Debian does not. The Mint version of Cinnamon depends on either Gnome flashback or Mate Panel in order to run the desktop. This was also the case in earlier versions of Debian Cinnamon but not on Cinnamon 6 and later versions.So I don't think that is the reason why Cinnamon Control Center won't work without python3-six. Although Linux mint may be using different programs from python3-six as their dependencies. Debian users who are on Debian Sid or Debian Testing will just have to use the temporary fix of installing python3-six or python3-pam on the Cinnamon Desktop until this problem is sorted out by Debian.*Andrea Borman.*
python3-pampy is already a dep. of cinnamon and installed, the issue as already explained is that don't have python3-six as dep (python3-pampy) required to work, before was ok only because other package installing it as dep. and after removed it there was nothing without it as dep. (andthe lack of python3-six as dep.python3-pampy started to create problems)
Cinnamon use mate-panel | gnome-panel | tint2 only on fallback session (when cinnamon don't work correctly), I don't remember issue with fallback on Debian where them are really required (but missed) and no users reported issue related, have you spotted issue where both cinnamon don't work and also fallback don't work?
