I can categorically state that yes, Java and JavaScript are completely different technologies (Sun made a big mistake when they allowed Netscape to use the word "Java" in the name of their language) and that Java is NOT required to run Flash. I've been running Flash without Java for years, both under Windows and Linux. The problem is somewhere else. William Tracy
