I installed Ubuntu 25.04 on a spare SSD. The boot process seemed normal - no slow boot. System response seemed normal.
I do not want to upgrade to 25.04 now. Snap and automatic updates make me nervous. When I installed 25.04, automatic update would not let me reboot until I killed the process. I have had too many problems with automatic updates, etc. I do not reboot very often, maybe two times per month. This system stays busy.
