@SabreWolfy: you make a good point that the majority of casual Ubuntu
users will not be aware of how to report a bug. However, relative to
other bugs in Launchpad (to which the same point must be applied), this
bug still doesn't appear in the top 200. If you want this bug to be
noticed more, it would seem sensible to me to ask Ubuntu users you know
to indicate that it affects them too!

Personally, I think it is reasonable to expect a longer turnaround on
bugs and issues in FOSS projects than with vendors of commercial
operating systems: if we're not paying for the software, where does the
money come from to pay a developer to fix the problem if a solution for
the community is not forthcoming? I think the argument from those with
an anti-FOSS point of view will sneer and say 'you get what you pay for'
is poor, but I think that's a different argument: that argument proposes
that anything done for free can't be done well. My argument is that it
can be done well, but when you have a limited budget, you solve the
biggest problems first, which are typically those that affect the
customers who are paying you (those on a support contract).

You sound a bit cynical in your last paragraph! UbuntuOne is just one
of quite a few file sharing applications that work on Ubuntu - surely
the ability for the user to choose between applications outweighs a
fault (albeit painful) in one of those choices?
