This bug was reported on 2009-06-15 -- almost 2 full years ago -- and
much discussion has taken place earlier in this report about the
importance of this bug. It has now been marked as "wishlist". What does
this mean? Many previous comments indicate that this is a "show-stopper"
bug and I imagine that it cannot be difficult to implement. I'm not sure
why Ubuntu is not able to fix such a small bug in their own Ubuntu One
product, especially when any number of other applications can use the
system proxy settings. I'm beginning to that there must be another
reason that progress on this bug is constantly being blocked.
