Occasionally, when the typing break overlays the take a break screen, it
is still possible to type into the application that had focus when the
break was started. The application window is dimmed out by the take a
break screen, but is still fully controllable by the keyboard!

The obvious, simple solution is to automatically add the user via
smbpasswd -a to duplicate the unix user name. The problem lies in the
password. Since it is hashed, the system can't just reverse the hash,
get the password, and add it to the samba user database.

Uninstalling and going back to the non backported version with
aptitude remove cryptsetup

after rebooting it seems to work now.

I had a similar problem using the new jamendo plugin.
I am using rhythmbox compiled from source (9.8) on a ubuntu edgy system.
Maybe that was also caused by the size of the jamendo archive. I do have a 50
MB crash file here. don't know if uploading that would help.

Hmmpf, next try. First i tried to drag and drop the filename from the

I'm running on 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP and pkgs being up-to-
date till may 8th 2010 and (still) have the issue of not having the
sound icon on the I-A (v 0.3.6). This started after my updrade where I
went from 9.04 via 9.10 to 10.04 on one day.

Thanks, looked at the article, but don't have the technical ability to
analyze the bug through bisection. When I check drivers it says no
proprietary drivers.
I notice that there are a number of other screensaver bugs listed.

I don't think this affects the update manager, rather it is something
that happens after update. I was able to run update manager ok today. It
is solely related to the Screensaver function. If I wait the preset 5
minutes then my screen freezes & I cannot access the computer without a
reboot. If I t

I put 'eyes' on the panel to do something while I was keeping the system
going during a download, when I was rolling them I got the screen/system
crash just like the screensaver.
This may be a driver problem, I do not have the technical skills to get
inside the system. I am not getting crash repor
Also, the screen resolution was changed after upgrade, if that info
helps.

There is still faulty bash code in 10.04 /etc/profile and
/etc/autopackage/paths-bash
/etc/profile has:
[[ -f "/etc/autopackage/paths-bash" ]] && . "/etc/autopackage/paths-
bash"
That does not cause X to fail because it wont even try to start
/etc/autopackage/paths-bash and just continues execut
changed to confirmed as the x session wont start en returns to the login
window when you change /etc/profile in such a way that it runs the
default /etc/autopackage/paths-bash
