I'm running on 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP and pkgs being up-to- date till may 8th 2010 and (still) have the issue of not having the sound icon on the I-A (v 0.3.6). This started after my updrade where I went from 9.04 via 9.10 to 10.04 on one day.
10.04 indicator-sound pkg version: 0.2.3-0ubuntu1 As suggested by Chad above, disable the I-A and enable it again does not bring back the sound icon. Now the other suggestion from Chad also does NOT work on my system: 1) remove I-A from panel 2) kill /usr/lib/indicator-sound/indicator-sound-service 3) add I-A to panel (I did it using; $ python /usr/share/gnome-panel/add-indicator-applet.py) Will mark the bug active. ** Changed in: indicator-sound (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => Confirmed -- indicator-sound "Name request failed" / 3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569098 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
