The Dell WFP3007 is a dual dvi lcd panel that supports native 2560x1600.
I have used vesa and fglrx drivers with my ATi Radeon X1600XT
successfuly. The monitor will only get signal when the GDM login screen
is reached. There is no indication of linux loading until the login

I wrote a little Perl script which beeps and uses libnotify to show you
when the leak is occurring (attached, argument is number of seconds
between checks). I get a leak of about 4kb every 5 seconds, although
there are periods of 20 seconds about once a minute where I get no leak.

Richard: the original report is fairly clear - John refers to the
browser startpage, which is shipped in ubuntu-docs. It's the page which
shows up in firefox if you load it up without a net connection.
However, I don't see this as a bug. You have to look pretty hard to see
innuendo in the wording,
The task on ubuntu-docs is invalid, this isn't a problem with the
documentation as the package should be installable. When the package is
fixed, the documentation will work as intended.

fwiw, I only encounter this crash on my MacBook SantaRosa, with the
Intel GMA950 graphics card. I tested it running fine on 8.10 with:
nvidia-glx-177 177.80-0ubuntu2
and
nvidia-glx-173 173.14.12-1-0ubuntu3
on a GeForce 7300go and FX5200 respectively.
All systems appear to have Direct Rendering

I run Kontact as my primary do-everything PIM. I have come to depend on
Kontact wrapping Kmail and Korganizer seamlessly (aside from adding new
calendar entries from a ics file directly from the web).

The backports modules fixed WPA2 personal for me (Wifi link 5100,
jaunty), but I recently tried connecting to a WPA personal AP which
failed. The new module in backports may still not fix WPA personal.
