The new mdadm has been uploaded but it will be approved only after
knot-3 cd is out. It's a matter of a few hours and it is also a
duplicate of 57607.

LVM/MD root filesystem not found by uuid
https://launchpad.net/bugs/540
Public bug reported:
Hi Scott,
upstart seems to work almost fine on ia64 (no spinning) but i can't get
serial console. The machine i have has also a gfx so it probably spawns
the normal tty (no monitor to check) but with append="console..."
upstart should also create ttySX.
Fabio
PS the machine
boot with --debug
init: rcS process (2012) exited normally
init: rcS state changed from running to stopping
init: event_queue: Queued rcS/stop event
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 51369 ***
I guess this has been fixed along with the UUID and other updates. I
can't reproduce it anylonger.

autofs incorrectly uses local auto.net map 100% of the time if /etc/auto.net

I did check the code and there is no need to perform such sanity check
since they are all done way before invoking mdadm.

Yes indeed it is handled properly by the combination of append (for the
kernel) an d the proper entry in inittab.
I will do that, but it should be done automatically IMHO.
