I haven't be able to reproduce the issue on Lucid Beta2.
To say the truth the bug was reported testing it on 8.04 x86-64 bit but nor in
8.04 x86, many months after this report, I didn't see the errors "too many
frame drops" (to say the truth I have, in 8.04, other errors).
