After some minutes the frame rates decrease a lot.. decrease to 30-50 frames

Same problem. I had to remove compiz because I have a multiseat configuration
and one of the seats use a mach64. On that screen I was getting a white screen
for some users. Gdm would show the login screen and the user would login, but
immediatly after the first refresh the screen would go white.
I updated to Gutsy, and that problem went away. I believe the fix was
actually in the kernel as I noticed that the fix in the vgacon.c shows
up in the default Gutsy kernel. And it does make sense that it's the
kernel that is allowing a leak from the console into the hardware
controlled by X.

Yes, still an issue. I bought a not too new radeon X800 pci-e and I'm using the
open source radeon driver now. I though either the integrated controller or the
closed source fglrx drivers were part of the problem. I've read that evdev
breaks again the multiuser configuration in Hardy, and that's

it was a problen with this package. That's the only information i can

I just installed Ubuntu 7.04 Beta in my Inspiron 600m. All the
installation was smooth. When the computer restarted, the grub reported
"Error 15: File not found". I had to modify the entry in the grub
created by the installer. For some reason was pointing to the root
partition

Same problem here. If I run
strace -f cupsd -f>&/tmp/cupsd.strace
I can see that there is a pipe being created and then a thread is spawn with
clone. After that, every time the parent thread looks at the pipe, it returns
immediately, even though neither thread is writing or reading from it, just
wrote:
