Same problem here. If I run strace -f cupsd -f>&/tmp/cupsd.strace I can see that there is a pipe being created and then a thread is spawn with clone. After that, every time the parent thread looks at the pipe, it returns immediately, even though neither thread is writing or reading from it, just as in the previous post. As the previous poster did, I was trying to add printers on my network, with some I was succesful some I wasn't. I included the initial part of the strace, the last lines repeat for ever. It's not too big, 72k uncompressed.
