firefox with it anymore!
The real problem that has to be fixed are the flushplugin crashes. The
number of those increased dramatically about 2 weeks ago, fo
Kristoffer, compiz isn't causing the problem for me. It's disabled. It
also doesn't make a difference whether I enable hardware acceleration in
the flashplugin or not.
LGB, as said, pulseaudio isn't the problem in my case. I don't use at
all. I do audio multiplexing via ALSA's dmix instead. (
Maybe the default DPI or font settings have been changed in GNOME or
Ubuntu but that's an unrelated issue.

Binary package hint: virtualbox-ose
I am using VirtualBox on kubuntu 8.04/hardy with KDE 3.5.9
When I start a virtual machine with VirtualBox 1.5.6 while using krfb to access
the machine the CPU usage jumps to 100% and the system becomes nearly unusable.
I have to shutdown
I looked at this again and noticed that krfb is responsible for
relatively high cpu usage even when virtualbox is not running. Sorry.

You don't need a VNC server for krfb to function properly. Krfb is used
for sharing the session of a local and logged in user. If you want

With metacity I had 6 separate workspace.
With compiz the workspaces are not so separate anymore: If a window is

I used Ctrl+Alt+Insert to open terminals (Custom: uxterm) with metacity.
The transition sets the 'Open a terminal' action to that keystroke but
pressing the keys doesn't open a terminal.
