Public bug reported:

I have installed Kubuntu 7.10 Beta. Furthermore I have installed the windows
Vista driver for AVM FRITZ USB WLAN stick. After installing the driver
everything works fine. Last Sunday I made an update via adept manager. After
the update the USB Stick will be detected with the command: ndiswrapper -l
 driver present, hardware present

but, when I typ the command ifconifg, only eth0 and lo will be shown, no wlan0.
KNetworkmanager does not detect the wlan stick.
Now I have installed the CD version Kubuntu 7.10 Beta and the stick works fine.
