I'm not sure if there's a bug in my situation because when I upgraded to
mysql-server-5.1 the process don't override my /etc/mysql/my.cnf and my
router change my IP to 192.168.1.101 when It has been configured to
192.168.1.100. So after I write in /etc/rc.local the ifconfig 192.168.1.100
After the upgrade to karmic it's all ok with the touchpad.
Sometimes during the boot I have the following:
"touchpad refuse to switch to absolute mode"
but it works well.

Fn F5/F6 does nothing. The Brightness indicator flashes on the first
push, and then seems to delay its indication long after I have pressed
the keys.
My default power management brightness is set to 30%, and the laptop
appears to respect this option.

There were three random disconnections today from my wireless router,
and I managed to capture a syslog of one of the events via the command:
$ tail -n0 -f /var/log/syslog > /tmp/syslog
The events begin from attempts to connect to my wireless router, to
failure, to unloading and loading the ath9k
This is absolutely unnecessary, and will probably not have any effect
other than to be ignored. Furthermore, this is not a bug. Signatures
should be activated by the user and not by default.

I agree with the above statement. I fully understand how administrator
of Kaist web server works hard on this; however, I think it needs to be
more than just trying hard. So, I would suggest using the main
repository on this matter or using the main repository and Daum’s server
at the same time.

With Ubuntu switching to GNOME, looks like Unity folks don't care about
this anymore.
This and the fractional scaling issue were the only 2 issues

I've been able to get a workaround for this issue.
I was using compiz(Unity) on my Ubuntu 18.04.
While GNOME seems to be fine, it looks like compiz is causing a race-condition
with another process.
A workaround is to delay compiz launch for a few seconds.
Open up /usr/lib/systemd/user/unity7.se
