What I did was download the source code straight from the writer's
website and compiled it. It worked just fine so whatever patched the

I am having the same issue on my HP 8560w. I always get to the same
point once I boot into the USB drive. If I don't make a selection soon,
it just jumps right into it and then stalls on the same part mentioned

I have found the most likely cause of this bug to be, Travel. I went
from Europe to the United States and the problem started. By changing my
software source to a US Server through select best, the problem was
solved and headers were retrieved properly. So Change your sources to a
near by server.
I no longer use Ubuntu.

I have pulled back work on a pythonic fix for the Telepathy OTR situation. But
before I did that João Paulo Rechi Vita started advancing my work and has since
completed all of the spec work for OTR. He is now building the Telepathy Gabble
OTR code and will then finish the Empathy hooks

Sorry guys, after 2.5 years and no movement on this, we had long since
given up. The schools have reverted back to Windows computers in their
labs because of issues such as this (this was one of the biggest issues

This looks like it was broken between 2.6.37 and 2.6.38. I backed out
the hfsplus module in a 2.6.38.2 tree to that from 2.6.37 (git checkout
v2.6.37 -- fs/hfsplus) and my iPod mounted correctly.
My guess is that this was caused by one of these commits:

It's definitely reproducible. I've described the whole reproduction
process in the original bug report.
The white flash appears either when a brick is placed or a new one is
spawned. Either way, there's a flash when you use a brick. The flash
occurs while the T brick is in play, and it flashes in
David, their is no more resistance among the developers. I am working on
it, but for this month my time is still limited. But by mid May I will
have a lot more time to dedicate to this project. SO please stay
hopeful, OTR is coming to Empathy I promise.
