Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus
When loading the operating system (new western digital hard disk with only Ubuntu on it) the system sometimes hangs and reports errors on hard disc and asks you to press f or i . Doing this has no perceived effect. Switch off and on again and system will load perfectly. This is an intermitent occurrence and most times the OS loads perfectly. If there were sector problems on the new disk I would have assumed the OS would have marked these and therefore not had any recurrence of fault on subsequent reloads but it does.
