Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
The first tab in firefox has a loading icon that never disappears, no matter which page is the first tab. In addition to that, when it gets this loading icon that never goes away I cant close the tab through conventional means. The steps I use to close the tab are: 1. I right click the tab and select "Open in a New Window" 2. I close the new window that opens. 3. Back to the original window I still have a tab I cant close, however now it is all blank. So I close firefox all together. When I reopen firefox the tab is gone, however usually within minutes the constant loading thing happens again and I have to rinse and repeat if I want to close the tab. I doubt you ubuntu guys care, however this exact same problem happens in Windows, so I think it may be something with a recent change in firefox codebase.
