from firefox on each reboot! I am working through each bisect testing the
kernels. Each one takes about 1 hour to build. Also quite surprised to see how

Downloaded and installed Turboprint driver for Canon iP90 but balked at

Running Hardy (8.04) and problem still exists for me.
Thankfully, the solution of editing
"/system/storage/volumes/_org_freedesktop_Hal_devices_..." and deleting
the stuff worked.
Note: I actually had a slightly different problem than the original bug
report - I put the wrong mount options.

It really does seem to be a compiz problem in intrepid; I had it on a
Toshiba laptop with an ATI video chip. On an old Compaq presario with
an nvidia geforce 440 and the unaccelerated "nv" driver I didn't have

sudoers file so I had no sudo rights and no root password, I had to
reboot and get a root shell and put jim =(ALL)ALL in sudoers - maybe
