Public bug reported:
percona-xtrabackup was upgraded from 2.2.3-2.1build1.1 to
2.3.7-0ubuntu0.16.04.1.
It appears that MySQL default socket file path has changed in the new
version.
After the update my backups started failing with the following:
170402 06:30:04 Connecting to MySQL server host:
Any workaround to stop this for now? I deleted syslog so it won't fill
my disk, but systemd-journal and syslogd eats all my cpu.

Public bug reported:
Ubuntu Xenial installer crashes when grub-installer failed. Writing grub
to sda (and after that every sdX) failed, and when proceeding without
installing the grub, installer crashes.
ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: ubiquity 2.21.63
ProcVersionSignature:
Noticed Ubuntu getting unbearably slow after upgrading from 15.10 to
16.04. Gnome-settings-daemon was on top of processes list with 30% CPU.
The ownership of .cache/dconf was root, changed it with chown and the
problem seems to have gone away. Thanks Marcel!

I installed 16.04 weeks ago and first hang happened in in less than hour. After
that I added the
intel_idle.max_cstate=1 kernel command line parameter and no hangs have
happened since.

Still there with Ubuntu 16.04 and Shotwell 0.23.2 (from a PPA). In my
case it takes over half an hour before I can use the program.

On Xubuntu 16.04.1, having XIM as the input method system, I cannot type
ctrl+shift+u to get the system expect unicode codes (e.g. 2122 for ™).
When changed to 'none' and log out and log back in, it works.
