Looking back, I guess that the ubuntustudio menu.lst became the active
one after install. So, when feisty was upgraded to gutsy, the inactive
menu.lst was the one that was amended.

This has happened to me twice in a week now using a Belkin usb wireless
stick that uses the rt73 chipset on a fresh install of Gutsy x64.
Bizarrely, a reboot has not fixed the issue - I have only got the device
working again by using it in windows before booting ubuntu.

Ok, so fglrx seems to work ok on Feisty (except for the 'switch user'
function and the entries in Xorg.0.log - maybe that's normal) so
probably nothing to do with the kernel.

The screen resolution settings under system>preferences>screen
resolution work better than the ones under system>administration>screens
and graphics.
When trying 1600x1200 @60Hz in the >screens and graphics section, it

It is as though the button sizing function thinks there is only half the

In 8.04 x64 I get a webcam configuration error. My laptop has a
revolving webcam, and I suspect this has a loose connection, as the
