After disabling the nvidia driver and re-selecting my monitor - the refresh rate choices are different, but even if I select 85Hz, log out and in again - it doesn't work.
Interestingly, the other refresh rate choices have vanished from the 'screens and graphic' section leaving only 75 Hz.
