I did the following:
- Ran "mv ~/.gconf/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/ftp ~ && killall gconfd-2 &&
killall gnome-panel"
- Opened "Preferences > Preferred Applications"
- Web browser was set to "Custom", I selected "Firefox" from the list
- Closed the dialog.
The ftp folder did not reappear and
I'm running Hardy and it was a fresh install rather than an upgrade.

The version in intrepid does allow the target paper size to be changed
via a tab in the print dialog, but this setting is not honoured when I

Just upgraded to Intrepid and noticed a VPN tab at nm-applet menu > Edit
Connections Unfortunately, the whole tab is greyed out so I can't
add a VPN. There's no clue as to why it's greyed out (I have
connectivity).

After starting manually and then rebooting I do get the applet but a
non-technical user would just see that it's broken after upgrade.

Just upgraded to Intrepid beta and found that the network manager no
longer has the manual configuration option. Therefore there is no way
to configure my network. I use WiFi for my internet connection and then
use my ethernet NIC
Just upgraded to intrepid. The speed of my rt61 card is now correctly
reported.

Thanks for your help, I think I now have it configured correctly.
However, the new system seems like it needs some usability improvements:
- It forced me to specify a gateway in the manual confiig even though there
isn't one on the network attached to the interface (since this computer is an
L
Marking confirmed since the bug is repeatable and the bug reporting tool
appears to have gathered all the prerequisite diagnostics.

If I turn up the AC97 volume handle in the ALSA mixer for my SbLive
Value card a loud piercing squeal is emitted. I'm not sure what that
particular volume knob is supposed to do but I'm sure it's not supposed
to do that! Since upgrading to intrepid, my PC emits the same nois

[Intrepid] Opening PTP camera in Nautilus before it's ready
Unfortunately, the configuration doesn't seem to still work after a
reboot. I can't seem to configure my Wifi connection to provide
internet and for my ethernet connection to just have a manual IP
address, but not to be used for internet access. How should I configure
this?

Unfortunately, the CDROM and HD in my laptop are now both broken.
However, I've wired it up as an LTSP thin client and I can't repro the
bug so I think it is fixed. Until I reinstalled as a thin client, I was
running with the Pipe A workaround so I don't know exactly when the fix
arrived.

I wanted to change this so that it asways mounted at /media/passport so I
